A top favorite of 2013 was inspired by movies, such as The Great Gatsby. This decorative artistic style, that became so well known in 2013, is known as “art deco;” which was inspired by the roaring 1920s and 30s.  Normally, seen in household objects and architecture, this defined geometric style was showcased through out last year from wedding cakes to the invitations. Defiantly a trend we’re bound to see inspire brides and grooms to be in 2014.

2. It’s all about Mint!

To keep with the vintage themes of years past going, this next colorful trend was a definite must have in the 1940s and 50s: Mint. 2013 was defiantly a year that brought this vintage color back to the forefront. Many brides embraced this shade of pale aqua on their special day.

3. The Bridal Gown

And for our final trend we chose the bridal gown. 2013, brought out timeless elegance with themes and colors of years past, however what we really saw this year were glistening bride’s in their glistening gowns.  2013 was a year of lace, lots of sparkle and wonderful body contouring ruching. A definite trend we will come to see in 2014 and years to come.
